The sixth China International Import Expo is being held in Shanghai from Nov 5 to 10, with 129 businesses and 509 people in Suzhou New District, East China's Jiangsu province, having signed up for the annual event.

The exhibitors from SND have set up booths at the exhibition zones for technology and equipment, auto products, medical devices and healthcare products, consumer goods, food and agricultural products, and items in the service trade.

Germany-based Siemens AG, a Global Fortune 500 company, is showcasing its innovative solutions and application achievements in intelligent manufacturing, infrastructure, and transportation.

As early as 1994 Siemens built its presence in SND and in 2022 its Chinese headquarters of electrical products was upgraded as its Chinese and East Asian headquarters.

Japanese Panasonic Corp has built a sand table to display five urban layouts themed on green energy, low-carbon travel, environmentally-friendly stores, intelligent manufacturing, and health space.

Panasonic built its first manufacturing company in Jiangsu in SND and currently owns four manufacturing companies and two R&D subsidiaries with their businesses covering in-vehicle cameras, 5G new materials, and new energy.

Another German business, Schott AG, has attended the annual expo for six consecutive years. It is showcasing nearly 30 of its latest products involving aerospace, astronomy, consumer electronics, and healthcare.

In 2001, Schott invested to establish its first wholly-owned subsidiary in China, the Schott Glass Technology (Suzhou) Co, in SND.

SND's time-honored traditional Chinese medicine brand Liliangji has also appeared at CIIE and is displaying four kinds of tea and two kinds of traditional ointment.
